UCF Faces Off Against No. 11 Cincinnati

The Knights travel to Cincinnati.

Tonight, the 15-8 Knights will take on the 21-2 Cincinnati Bearcats.

The Bearcats are 10-0 in conference play in the AAC, and are currently ranked number 11 in both the AP and the Coaches’ Poll.

Kyle Washington will lead the offense for the Bearcats. Washington averages 13.7 per game, and scored a career high of 27 points in the Bearcats’ last contest against UConn.

But the Knights tout an impressive defense, leading the nation in field goal percentage defense at 36.5 percent. The Knights only give up an average of 61.1 points per game, the fifth least in the country.

UCF is 0-7 all-time against Cincinnati in a series that started in 1983.

This will be the second ranked opponent for the Knights this season. Earlier in the year UCF faced Villanova, who was ranked the third at the time. The Knights put up a strong fight against Wildcats, but lost by 10 points on November 20.

UCF is currently 6-5 in conference play, currently sixth in American Athletic Conference standings.

Tip-off for this game is at 9 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
