ORLANDO, FL- The UCF Knights have beaten the odds in creating a historic playoff run in the National Invitation Tournament.

One year after the announcement of UCF Men’s Basketball head coach Johnny Dawkins, the Knights improved from a 12-18 record of last season to a now record-breaking 24-11 run for the program.

On Monday’s media luncheon, BJ Taylor, Tacko Fall, and Matt Williams spoke on what they have to say about going into the Final Four game.

“We feel great, we prepare all week long, the guys were great, the coaches made sure they prepared us well,” sophomore Tacko Fall said.

“We just play hard and do what we have been doing all season long and play hard defense and the rest of this will take care of itself.”

“We have to come out with a lot of energy,” B.J. Taylor told media. “…we have a lot of respect for TCU and the season they have had and they had a really good season in the Big 12 and we have to come out and fight in a competition but we kind of  thrived in those moments…”

Senior Matt Williams spoke on his expectations for the win.“ We worked hard to get here and our mind is on the prize. We worked all summer to get here and we just feel like our goals ahead and we have to go get it.”
