UCF is extending its campus closure through Thurs, Sep. 5 due to the uncertainty surrounding Hurricane Dorian’s impact on Central Florida, the university announced on Sunday.

The decision to re-extend the closure from Wednesday to Thursday, is based upon the storm’s current projections and the possibility of severe weather lingering through Thursday.

The announcement added that the university will remain closed until it is safe to reopen and will consider various factors such as regional power outages and storm damage when making the decision to reopen.
