Disney delays moving 2,000 employee jobs from California to Florida to 2026.
The entertainment company originally said in July 2021 that they planned to move 2,000 employees to Orlando to take advantage of over $570 million in tax breaks by the end of 2022.
The relocations of these employees was going to be a part of the completion of the company’s new campus in the community of Lake Nona.
The decision comes off the heels of a public dispute between the company and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the state’s Parental Rights in Education Law, being dubbed publicly as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill.
