Florida man David Proudfoot is being charged with stealing property from Walt Disney World after claiming to be a security guard.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Proudfoot admitted to stealing property of Disney World multiple times including on May 31 when he was found impersonating a security guard at Disney’s Swan Reserve Resort wearing a orange vest pushing a car.

According to the arrest report, Proudfoot admitted to taking a R2-D2 statue estimated to be worth between $6,000 and $10,000.

Proudfoot reportedly told authorities that he wasn’t trying to steal the Star Wars themed item but rather trying to expose the weak points in resort safety while trying to impress to get a security job with Disney.

A Disney investigator found about $730 worth of stolen Disney merchandise that was recovered from Proudfoot’s home during a search warrant.

Proudfoot was arrested and sent to Orange County jail on charges of third-degree grand theft, petty theft, burglary and scheming to defraud.
