Former UCF Basketball big man Tacko Fall has joined the Utah Jazz for their Summer league. This will be the former Knight’s third team within the NBA since leaving UCF in 2019.

During his time in the NBA, the 7’6 center has played two seasons with the Boston Celtics and one with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 37 career games played.

Utah Jazz CEO Danny Ainge, worked as the executive director of Basketball operations for the Celtics during Fall’s time with the Celtics from 2019-2021. It is believed this connection led to Fall signing with the Jazz.

ESPN Reporter Marc J. Spears says with Rudy Gobert being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves; the Jazz might be keen on keeping the former UCF center.

“With Rudy Gobert gone, Jazz checking out another giant in 7-6 free agent center Tacko Fall. Fall is playing on Utah’s summer league team and is connected to Danny Ainge dating back to his time with the Celtics.”

Fall is expected to start with the Jazz in the 2022 Summer League today against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
