This past Saturday, the UCF Knights took on the Houston Cougars in the final 2023 regular season game. Bowl eligibility was on the line since the Knights had a 5-6 record in the season. In the end, the Knights were victorious! The final score was 27-13. This changed the Knights final record to 6-6 and guarantees a bowl game for the Knights next month.
UCF’s ability to make a bowl game in their inaugural BIG 12 season is outstanding, considering all the other BIG 12 newcomers did not. Cincinnati (3-9), Houston (4-8), and BYU (5-7) are the other BIG 12 rookies who did not have a winning season.
UCF becoming the only newcomer in the BIG 12 to become bowl eligible proves the Knights have a big future in their new conference. The Knights are here to stay!
