The 2023 regular college football season is a couple weeks from coming to an end. After the regular season, teams that have won at least 6 games look forward to competing in bowl games in December.
Brett McMurphy, a college football insider at Action Network, has just released his bowl projections for the 2023 season. McMurphy has predicted that UCF will battle USF in the Gasparilla Bowl on December 22nd!
UCF and USF have had a long history of being in-state rivals. The War on I-4 is a rivalry series between the two football teams. Currently, UCF leads this series in wins. The last time these two teams played against each other was in the 2022 football regular season.
With UCF moving to the BIG 12, the rivalry with USF seemed to be at its end. However, with McMurphy’s prediction, fans could see this in-state rivalry return as soon as the end of this year!
