The 2023 football regular season came to a close this past weekend. It was a rollercoaster of a season for the Knights. Where did the Knights land in the final regular season BIG 12 rankings? Let’s find out!
At the end of the 2023 regular season, UCF ranks No. 9 in the BIG 12 conference standings. There were a total of 14 teams in the BIG 12 conference this season. The Knights outrank TCU (No. 10), BYU (No. 11), Houston (No. 12), Baylor (No. 13), and Cincinnati (No. 14).
UCF ended up going 6-6 in their inaugural BIG 12 season. This is the best record by any BIG 12 newcomer. UCF is also the only BIG 12 newcomer to make a bowl game this season.
UCF’s No. 9 conference standing is highly justifiable. The Knights can walk out of their inaugural BIG 12 season with their heads held high. Bigger and better things await the Knights in 2024 when they return to play in the BIG 12 conference for their second year.
