While the UCF Knights narrowly lost against the number 9 nationally ranked Iowa State Cyclones, they beat the expectations going into this game. The Cyclones were 13.5-point favorites on the spread with a 50-point over/under, but a 38-35 score beat expectations.

RJ Harvey did not disappoint, delivering 196 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, becoming the fourth Knight to rack up over 3000 career rushing yards. With 25 rushing attempts, Harvey averaged 7.8 yards per rush.

Jacurri Brown was on the field the whole game, completing 8 out of 20 attempts, netting him 62 passing yards. Brown rushed 13 times throughout the game, earning him 2 touchdowns, and totaling up 154 rushing yards.

Overall, the Knights put up a performance that defied expectations. While they did lose, it was truly a valiant effort. Hopefully they can win this year’s Homecoming game, where they play the #11 nationally ranked BYU Cougars at 3:30 in FBC Mortgage Stadium. Below is a score summary of the game.
