The UCF Knights defeated the Texas Raiders in the last game of 2024, which extended their winning streak and took their record to a remarkable 10-2.

The Raiders struggled on offense in the first half of the game, giving the Knights good field position after turnovers and the ability to score.

The Knights shot an efficient 6-of-14 from beyond the arc as the Raiders struggled to make a disappointing 2-of-8. Keyshawn Hall was the star of the half with 17 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting from the court.

In the second half, the Knights went on to extend their lead, but into the final moments of the game, the Raiders managed to make an exciting comeback, lowering the lead 84 – 83 due to certain lapses in the defense of UCF.

Despite the mounting pressure, the Knights remained composed. As the Raiders turned to fouling to stop the clock, UCF held their ground and sealed the victory with three clutch free throws in a thrilling finish, allowing the knights to win 87 – 83.

As the year closes down, the Knights end with a 10-2 season record, and are now 1-0 in the Big 12 Conference. They start 2025 playing a ranked Kansas Jayhawks team on Sunday, January 5th.

Happy New Year to you and your families!
