UCF has confirmed the hiring of Steve Cooper as its new offensive coordinator, marking another strategic move in Scott Frost’s return to the Knights football program.

Cooper most recently served as an offensive analyst at Boise State, joining the program in January 2024. Prior to his time at Boise State, he had connections with Coach Frost during his tenure at Nebraska.

While at Boise State, Cooper was part of a successful coaching staff that helped the team achieve impressive offensive statistics.

The Broncos ranked fourth nationally in scoring offense, averaging 39.1 points per game, and sixth nationally in rushing offense with 250.5 yards per game.

Cooper is now the second major hire in Frost’s second tenure as UCF head coach, signaling the program’s commitment to rebuilding its offensive strategy.
