The Knights have been making hires left and right, and their latest addition is Wisconsin assistant Alex Grinch, who will be UCF’s Defensive Coordinator under Scott Frost.
Grinch is a veteran defensive coordinator with experience at multiple universities, including Washington State, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and USC. Most recently, he served as co-defensive coordinator at Wisconsin, where he worked under head coach Luke Fickell.
Over his time at USC, Grinch led a defense that gave up an average of about 34 points per game. His creative ideas defensively have shown promise, and UCF fans are enthusiastic about what he can contribute to the Knights.
This is just one of many changes UCF has made to their football coaching staff. Stay tuned with us to find out more updates.
