The UCF Knights defeated the Tarleton State Texans 66-51 at home, bumping them up to a three game winning streak.
The Knights showcased their defensive strength early, building a commanding 14-point lead by the second half.
Moustapha Thiam led the defensive effort, recording six blocked shots and keeping the Texans at bay. UCF’s defense proved too much for Tarleton, who struggled to overcome their opponent’s relentless pressure.
At the free-throw line, the Knights were nearly flawless, sinking 19 of 22 attempts. Their ability to capitalize on Tarleton’s mistakes—including the Texans’ 20 fouls—proved pivotal in maintaining their advantage.
Though Tarleton showed resilience late in the half, the Knights’ superior execution and lockdown defense sealed the victory. UCF fans now have plenty to cheer about as the team looks to keep their winning streak alive in the upcoming games.
