The election season has started with the first candidates to publicly announce their run for SGA President and Vice President.
This morning Matthew McCann and Adam Brock declared as candidates for one of the highest positions a student could hold.
McCann released this message to KnightNews.com announcing their run.
“Both Adam and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to run for Student Government office. We’ve both been very active on campus and have dedicated much of our time here at UCF to bettering our community, not only for ourselves but for all our fellow Knights as well. Running for these positions is the next step in our quest to bring Student Government to the level where all students, regardless of position or mindset, can feel comfortable coming to SGA for anything they may need.
Adam and I have some really great ideas on how we can begin to accomplish our goals for our fellow Knights, and we’re excited to share them with everyone. In addition, over the next few weeks, we will be reaching out to speak with students and organizations all across campus with the hope that we can incorporate some of their needs into our platform as well. We feel it is important that leaders recognize that they can never have all the answers, and only by engaging our fellow students can we ever hope to cover the many needs that our diverse campus demands.”
