The UCF women’s’ soccer team started their four-game road trip with a scoreless tie at Marshall on Friday night.
The Knights (7-2-4, 2-1-2 C-USA) were not able to score despite having a 23-9 shot advantage in the match. This marks the fourth time in 13 games that the Knights have been held scoreless, and it is the second time they have ended a game in a scoreless tie.
Junior forwards Tishia Jewell and Nicolette Radovcic each recorded five shots in the match. Sophomore midfielder Kristina Trujic also recorded three shots. Two shots on goal by Radovcic came in the final overtime period, but Marshall goalkeeper Lindsey Kerns stopped both of them. Her last shot on goal came with just under three minutes to play.

Marshall moves to 2-8-3 and 0-3-2 in Conference USA play. They currently have the worst overall record among all C-USA teams.
The Knights are still in the top half of the league standings, and they will finish their weekend with a matchup against East Carolina in Greenville, N.C. Sunday at 2 p.m.. The next home game for the Knights will be Oct. 21 against UAB.
