Reports coming out of Local 6 are suggesting that UCF and Memphis will be invited to join the Big East as early as next week.
The move would have the two teams leaving Conference USA, adding to what has been a busy week NCAA conference expansion movements causing changes for college football in the Pac-10 and Big 12.
This moved would be significant for UCF, placing them in a more competitive division which would help recruiting and TV revenue.
UCF is the third-largest university in the country and would contribute to Big East’s ratings especially since Orlando is the 19th-largest TV market in the nation, according to Local 6.
