YouReport: UCF Towers Infested with Flies?

Here’s our first video sent by Jeremy Tellor showing what he called an “infestation of flies” in the Towers on campus. He was upset he found so many flies because he says the Towers are the most expensive dorms.
We checked back with Jeremy and he says the flies are gone now. Hopefully they won’t be back! We’ll stay on top of it and let you know.

It’s not necessarily a violation of Housing policy to keep the main doors open, but it is to prop the doors to your apartment. Apollo, Lake Claire, and half of Nike/Hercules have open hallways and buildings.
Not the point, really. I really wanted to say that these flies are nothing compared to the large amounts of spiders outside of Tower 3. They need to pressure wash the hallways along the shopping plazas… there are Black Widows, HUGE webs with huge spiders in them. Walk through them at night and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Do the towers give out fly swatters in the move in packets?!?!

There being a BBQ is not an excuse for a large number of flies because then the bigger story here is the massive violation of Housing policies. There front doors are not supposed to be propped open as this provides a massive security risk. I’m pretty certain that the RAs don’t know who is supposed to be in the building at any one time or who is an “invited guest” unless you have a tendency to cause trouble.

I guess Jeremy disregard the fact that Tower 1 was having a big BBQ at the time and the main doors proped open. This is not the case everyday, but I’m not saying that students get their money’s worth at Towers.
