Each week, Kyle Sorice of KnightNews.com will ask a random sampling of UCF students and faculty a “question of the week,” so that we can give a voice to the average UCF student or staff member about hot topics.

This week, Kyle asked students how much they spent on their textbooks for the semester.

Its really not worth it. Half of the books I buy its seem like I never use.

  • Thurston Moore says:

$0 (at least through UCF). I’ve enjoyed buying books used through half.com or amazon for the past couple semesters

  • Buy and sell back online whenever you can! It’s much less of a rip off. You can even rent books online now through sites like campusbookrentals.com and chegg.com. I also started sharing books this semester. If you share your book with another student you cut your cost in half.
