UCF: What Grade Would You Give Obama?

KnightTalk, Politics, Videos — By on September 18, 2009 at 4:36 pm

At UCF, we all get grades whether we like it or not. President Barack Obama gets graded too, only his grades aren’t A’s and F’s, they’re poll numbers instead. And, on election day, he faces the ultimate final exam.

For this week’s KnightTalk, KnightNews.com’s Kyle Sorice decided to apply the “A-F” grading scale we’re used to at UCF when he asked students: “What grade would you give President Obama?”

So, what do YOU think?

Comment below and share what grade you think President Obama deserves.

An A because he’s doing the best he can with the cards he’s been dealt? And the health care reform because you are a nursing student? Are you serious? This is truly scary. You people don’t have a clue, do you?? It is *because* you are a nursing student that you should be scared to death of the healthcare “reform” that is going on in Washington right now — in secret — behind closed doors. Speaking of closed doors, whatever happened to Barry’s campaign promises of transparency in Washington and putting everything on C-Span so America can see what our elected officials are doing? When Nancy Pelosi was asked that question the other day she replied that a lot of things are said during a campaign… In other words, we will say whatever we need to say to get you idiots to elect us.

    @UCF Knight

You are a moron. “His health care bill”? You really don’t know anything about what is happening on capital hill do you?

You do realize that there is a house plan, a Bachus plan, a senate finance committee plan, and more? He just has guidelines on what he would like to see, but ultimately he has no plan of his own. He has also repeatedly said that he doesn’t care what the path to health care reform is as long as it becomes more affordable and more people get coverage.

Idiots like you just pass along stupid rhetoric without ever even knowing or understanding the facts.

I’m not an Obama supporter, and I still think he’s correct to look for reform, albeit possibly missing tort reform in the process. I just don’t agree with his transparency on the reform process. There was closed door meetings with the health care industry that led to hospitals and pharmaceutical companies dishing out $180Billion in concessions. To this date we don’t know what the US government is giving up in order to get these concessions.

But when all you talk about is useless babble and you go on propagating your stupidity, real people actually miss facts like these.

Even worse is your inability to even understand the current taxes that people are paying. You literally pulled numbers out of nowhere and started trying to make an argument.

anybody that voted for him is an idiot. ive never seen any political representative as easy to see through as him. if (and its a big IF) his health care bill manages to somehow pass, the wealthier citizens in states that have a state income tax as well as national income tax will be paying nearly 50% in taxes per year in income (over 50% if you include sales tax). THAT’S INSANE! how would you like to earn $100,000 a year legally (perhaps after attending an additional 3 years after college, etc) then have over $50,000 taken in the form of taxes, leaving you with less than $50,000 per year as take-home pay?!?! and the idiots that dont complete high school / college and not working a quarter as hard as the wealthier people are going to get government handouts?! pretty much awarding the people who chose to not motivate themselves and make something of themselves!!! heres an idea: why don’t we all just say screw college and get our government handouts to do nothing with our lives!!! sure, everyone should be able to take care of their health care, but like everything else in life, if you cant afford it, work harder or its just not for you. if everything was easy to get / free, nobody would work. the USA will always have low, middle, and upper class, or else we’d be no different than cuba. the rich shouldnt be penalized and paying for crackheads health care programs. that would reduce the motivation of the crackheads to get off their butts and so something, and reduce the motivation of the intelligent to make use of their intelligence to earn a decent income. this is coming from somebody who has been on both sides of the income classes…

  • F is a bit harsh! ( : I agree that he’s doing the best he can. He’s having trouble getting anyone to agree on what needs to be done for health care and getting that done will truly help our economy. It will save us loads of money to get that under control. Keep trying Obama!!!

  • RobertE says:

I think its too soon to give him a grade. You can only give someone a grade when the test is over. If I had to though, I’d say a C.

  • Jason Green says:

I agree, E+ for effort. The man is trying and I believe in the long run we will see positive results.

  • Friend says:

Too soon to tell. The papers are still being graded, and might be for several years. So far an “E” for effort.

  • Scott says:

    a big fat (F)
