Below is the statement from Wilson regarding the appeal process for the UCF chapter of Kappa Sigma.

“The men from UCF made a very good presentation to our Board this weekend. A meeting will be held in the near future with the undergraduates who made the appeal this past weekend and with the other students committed to the values of Kappa Sigma. The men will be reviewed by two of our top volunteer alumni.

Those representatives will then make a report to our Board. If all is favorable, a colony will be established immediately and they will begin operations this summer. They will be officially a part of our Fraternity at that point.

I expect the meeting will be favorable. I was very, very impressed with their focus and determination. We will inform the school of the status of the appeal immediately.”

great I thought these d-bags were done here. its aight tho they’ll suck even worse now

  • Sam Fratams says:

Since we’re already in the mood, why don’t we just forget words like “loyalty” and “camaraderie” as well, as they don’t seem to be very relevant anymore around Kappa Sig and will only make guys uncomfortable by reminding them of everyone they abandoned.

Only time will tell, but my prediction is that future would-be Kappa Sigs will spend too much of their time on World of Warcraft and money on Proactiv to make any real contribution to Greek Life.

  • Jason Bellomo says:

Of course. Forget these big, silly words like responsibility and accountability. Let’s implement the “random commenter Sam Fratams thinks these guys are cool” test. Since you said I’m awesome, does that mean I pass?

  • Sam Fratams says:

With the future of Kappa Sig now in the hands of awesome guys like Jason Bellomo, who seems think that the more syllables a word has, the more intelligent he sounds, I don’t see how things aren’t looking up for them.

I’m not sure how “proud we should be” that the 20+ men that are supposedly left in the chapter stood up for their “brothers.” A more likely scenario is that all those brothers who are no longer part of the chapter were thrown to the wolves (alumni) as scapegoats for the chapter’s previous wanderings from the apparent iron will of their nationals. We’ll see this fall who is still involved in inter-fraternal activities as a representative of Kappa Sig, but I’m willing to bet that there will be very few if any of the guys that I know or thought were “cool.”

  • Jason Bellomo says:

To my brothers: I hope that you will not permit the illiterate ramblings of anonymous posters to disrupt the pride you feel this week. I was personally humbled by and am proud of the extraordinary service you performed. Hold your heads high.

It is unfortunate that a few illiterate comments and run-on sentences can be made to trivialize the difficult decisions and hard work accomplished these past few weeks. There is a great deal yet left to be done but all members of Kappa Sigma and the University of Central Florida should be proud of these men for having the courage to stand up for themselves, their university and their brothers.

  • Student says:

Beta never lost their charter and is already back on campus.

Hopefully kappa sig can recover well.

  • That guy says:

Maybe that’s the point maybe the guys that made the chapter what it was killed the chapter in the end. They have been in trouble for like ever at least that was the rumors on greek row. The guys that appealed must have done something right for the big guys to give them a second shot now instead of 5-10 years like beta or pike or sae. Yea they got rid of “real frat” guys but I will wait to judge till I see what happens in the fall- let’s see how they rebuild it may be a losing battle in the end but for now I’m going to worry about my own chapter issues. When’s rush again?

  • Chad says:

    GO KAPPA SIGMA !!!!

  • i agree says:

Losing all of the best bros they had and then not shutting down is just like a thoroughbred race horse breaking his leg, and then letting it live instead of shooting it to put it out of its misery.

Kappa sig is still alive… but so was Terri Schiavo for a while too. What made it what it was is still gone forever.

  • DU says:

Alright straight up Kappa Sig wont be the same I’ve talked to the brothers and not to sound rash but all the cool ones that made it what it was that everyone loved are not sticking around thats why they only have 20+ people sticking around. I’m afraid to see what kappa sig will turn into but it will not be the same. R.I.P KAPA SIG sad to see you guys have to end it like this

  • . says:

    wont be the same
