UCF SGA Impeachment Affidavit Released, Read it Here
News, Safety, UCF Administration, UCF SGA — By Kevin Wolkenfeld on July 14, 2010 at 12:09 pmUPDATE:The impeachment affidavit passed its first hurdle during an SGA Senate LJR Committee meeting this afternoon. KnightNews.com streamed the meeting live. The only count that didn’t move on to Senate for future consideration was the one related to attending the meeting in violation of rules, since that meeting wasn’t official.
A swarm of local TV news cameras showed up to the small room. We’ll have a more in depth recap up soon. We would have done so earlier, but breaking news called — an apparent meth lab at a UCF area apartment complex was discovered earlier tonight. Check out the video.
KnightNews.com has just obtained the impeachment affidavit filed against a paid UCF employee who serves in UCF’s Student Government Association.
In the affidavit, the charged employee and SGA member is accused of appearing drunk in the office, driving the SGA golf cart while appearing to be intoxicated, according to the affidavit, and was also accused of saying, “We don’t do sh*t and get paid for it,” referring to paid UCF employees serving in the Student Government.

The person who filed the affidavit wrote he was in “disbelief” that the accused employee and SGA officer was given access to the UCF golf cart after behaving the way outlined in the affidavit.
UCF has blacked out names of students, including the accused, in the report before releasing it. UCF did not cite a reason for doing so when releasing it, however, SGA adviser Christa Coffey responded to an earlier e-mail we sent asking for an explanation for the hold up by saying, “Hopefully you appreciate the desire to ensure we are following the federal and state law, and understand that we are attempting to provide the document within a reasonable amount of time (as allowed by state law).”
In the past, KnightNews.com has received documents from UCF where names of student leaders were not redacted. Names of student leaders are also posted on the OSI web site. It’s not clear exactly what UCF’s policy is when it comes to blacking out names. KnightNews.com is investigating this matter further.
Coffey also said some staff had been out of the office and tied up interviewing candidates, which added to the delay.
Check back at 3:30 p.m. for live coverage of an SGA committee meeting where this impeachment affidavit will be discussed.

That was an amazing game. (USAvALG)
He must have been excited.
I’m a political science major and enjoying every second of all of this. Thank you KnightNews.
I’m amazed at the number of people who think Pozin’s name should be kept secret. What country are you people from? Pozin is a public official. In this country, we don’t keep secret the names of pubolic officials charged in public proceedings. Heck, even traffic tickets are public records.
@ Moron
So, sue me.
This isn’t the first time that members of the Pro Temp’s office have engaged in illicit behavior.
Coke + Rape + Craigist = Talk about quality representation!
@Andrick
Public intoxication’s still illegal?
Plus, its a pretty bad image considering your position knowing that you got kicked out of the event by Late Knight coordinators?
For the record… I was hammered!
But
I had a DD (Designated Driver)
I did not drive a state vehicle under the influence
And I sure as heck didn’t say anything stupid!
What goes around comes around
I agree w/everything you said except Bishop making SGA stronger.
Didn’t she break sunshine law and have to have the state lawyer order her to release stuff to knightnews?
That’s disgraceful too.
Are we all really surprised that Pozin is the one being discussed here? This guy claims that he is a “veteran” senator. FALSE.
I believe he was appointed to the 39th and then served on the 40th and then BAM! Scandal broke out. He was accused of rape on a little sorority girl.
For one year, he slid under the rug just like every other Lambda Cry and made a come back when Senate was just getting stronger with people like Pope, Miller, Stauffer, and Bishop. Because of graduation, he got the position he received right now. He is a HORRIBLE senator who flaunts his position like everything. AND THEN he has the audacity to say that he “doesn’t do sh*t!? Jeremy Pozin is the exact opposite of what SGA needs. If you want to talk about corrupt, this is your guy.
And this is coming from a guy who has served on the Senate for a very long time and is now an old man.
KJ
It ticks me off that they are being paid with our tuition money!!
I wonder when Mike Kilbride and Andrick Lewis are going to be reported for arriving drunk at Late Knights, an alcohol-alternative event?
“We don’t do sh*t and get paid for it,”
At least he’s honest.
The conducted exhibited by this SGA official is beyond abhorrent – it is disgusting. I would not expect any respectable student of this institution to act this way, let alone an ELECTED representative of the student body! Every student pays in to the A&SF Budget to fund conduct like this?
Additionally, if the SGA official in question feels that he is just collecting a paycheck to do nothing, then I strongly advise the Student Senate to prevent this continuous waste of A&SF dollars and IMPEACH and REMOVE this Senator immediately. No private employer would tolerate such behavior, and the Student Body and the rest of the Student Government should not either.
The rest of the members of SGA should immediately condemn such behavior and work to remove this Senator as fast as possible. I do not believe this is a reflection of the way everyone is in Student Government, but if swift action is not taken to remedy the problem Senator then the rest of SGA may as well be grouped in with him.
Please stand up to this problem now and get rid of this Senator, since he would rather represent the interests of drunken hooligans than of elected stewardship!
Good bye to another member of the Lambda Al Chida in SGA!
So let’s see who goes to jail if it’s really illegal for Ucf to release that name.
knight news you might want to take down the affidavit and report is with the accused’s name blocked better. although it is ucf’s fault for missing the one on page 4 in the testimony it still makes you look bad for having the name.
If you read at the top of page 4 it says Jereme Pozin’s name as the accused.
