This past Sunday was another Orange Avenue Jam at The Social in downtown Orlando. Four bands took the stage and competed for the chance to play on one of the two main stages at the 2010 Orange Avenue Jam Festival, along with other prizes. The acts included Gemini, The Reprieve, Purple Rain, and Call Me Crazy.

The Reprieve’s energetic set had the audience fully engaged. The talented group has a fun, incomparable sound, which even includes a violin. Purple Rain had the crowd singing along as they performed well-known covers such as “What I Like About You” by The Romantics. Guitarist Jared Hara, who lost his eyesight at the age of twelve, and bassist Bryan Boyhan are part of a successful separate project called Sound Cannon, and have performed at The Social before. Last to take the stage was Call Me Crazy. Their perfect mix of hardcore and pop sets them far apart from your average rock band, and it is safe to say the guys stole the show.
