If the admission price of Halloween Horror nights isn’t exactly in your budget this year, don’t fret. You can still get your frights in elsewhere– just a short drive from UCF is a redneck wasteland (and no I’m not talking about Bithlo). A few years back over in Altamonte Springs some friends decided to start playing up their abandoned woods area for Halloween…now years later, and 100s more volunteers later-the little forest has evolved itself into quite a major fright path that can rival any theme parks. The creative team works all off season to bring brand new frightening sets and scenery each year.

For only $13 you can visit “A Petrified Forests” horrific woods trail. The outdoor trail wanders through hauntingly themed rooms, gruesome character performers, and nighttime thrills. Be warned, you might want to bring a change of underwear for this one.

Admission: $13
Dates: Select Fridays and Saturdays now through Halloween.
