The Knights hosted the Rio Pinar Invitational in Orlando this week and won for the fourth consecutive time.
“Our team is fantastic and we have a great group of kids. They are all extremely competitive and hard working. I’m very proud of them for playing well at home,” UCF head coach Bryce Wallor said. “It is always difficult to come out and play well at home, but the guys came out with a solid performance and it’s a great win for UCF.”
The team scored a record low 841 (-23) over 54 holes to get the win with Liberty close behind scoring 846 (-18). UCF led the field with 57 birdies and scored a total of 14 under on par 4 holes.
Individually, sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) and freshmen Greg Eason (Leicester City, England) of UCF tied for third place with a 3 round total of 9 under each. Connor Arendell of UCF finished fifth with a score of 7 under.
