UCF’s Scoop Bar May be Closing, Marcus Jordan Tweets
Business, News, Sports — By Staff on March 19, 2011 at 6:48 pmIt’s a tweet from UCF basketball star Marcus Jordan that UCF students just don’t want to believe: “the last night of scoop??? daaaaang”.
But it seems that this tweet isn’t a joke — it appears Scoop, one of UCF’s most popular bars, may shut down. KnightNews.com has heard from several reputable sources that Scoop could close its doors as early as tonight.
Closing or not, the rumor out there that tonight will be Scoop’s last night will likely draw a big crowd of students worried it will be their last time ever stepping foot in Scoop.
KnightNews.com did get in contact with Scoop owner Romi Mawardi, who said more details will be released in the coming week about the future of Scoop, but he did acknowledge the possibility of it closing very soon.
If Scoop does close, Mawardi, who also owns Deko, would likely open Deko more nights of the week to give students other options.

You know how many people ive seen since being at ucf (started 7 years ago), that open a bar, rape a few college girls, and go “ohhh look at me im so rich!” and then…boom…fail…nope, you’re in severe debt is what you are.
Who cares, both those places are crap. Scoop was cool as as freshmen but thats about it. Those guys who own it are duechbags and so are most of the people who work there. VIVA LA LIBRARY
Every other bar comes and goes, becomes the hip place to go, but in the end Devaneys Too has the most staying power. Scoop and Dekos problem is that they targeted a specific crowd instead of mixing it up w/ all
heard that deko might be closing becuz not much ppl go there and their cutting days, ppl now sayying bad things about deko that make others not go there no more. that sucks. deko is more like downtown kind of club , so they should move there
DEKO isn’t far behind. They are having financial trouble and started cutting back expenses. Scoop and DEKO will be closed within the next few weeks it sounds like.
Not to worry though. Another person will come in and waste money on trying to run another crappy college bar for a couple years until they go belly up as well.
Scoop is closing?!?!? Now where will freshman go to throw up???
and Devs will always look and smell like shit holes .. #losing time to move on .. you gotta invest in your establishment if you want it to be successful.
