The warning for the naproxen warns about the same conditions she presented the night she passed away: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000526/

  • md says:

looks like the naproxen may have caused some gastric irritation, leading to some seeding of normal bacteria (aka group B strep) into the blood stream. she was just an unlucky girl.

  • To Dave says:

I’m sure you aren’t Greek for a number of reasons. The most important being that the Greek community sticks together and doesn’t make assumptions, especially so public, about something of such high importance.

  • Tim says:

But yet the UCF Greek Community remains dry. Doesn’t make much sense to me.

    RIP Ann Hefferin

  • Dave says:

    To “UCF jump on it”

It wasn’t just non-greeks making assumptions, but nice try. think before you make a stupid comment next time.

and before you go calling me some GDI, I’m greek too. we made just as many assumptions if not more. we’re no better than anyone else.

  • Makes Sense Now says:

From all the reports that had been made it was obvious that alcohol could not have been the main cause and I’d assumed it was an ailment or condition she probably wasn’t aware of. Naproxen and regular alcohol consumption can cause stomach bleeding as well.

  • @Still not enough says:

I made that comment before they had the link to the report.

  • UCF jump on it says:

and all the GDIs jumping to conclusion feel real stupid right now

May she RIP and prayers for her family

  • Still not enough? says:

Knightnews uploaded the press release straight from the medical examiner’s office.

  • Greg says:

I want to see the report straight from the ME’s office (Medical Examiner)
