Not only did Terrance Plummers game saving performance against Memphis warrant the AAC Defensive Player of the Week Award, for the second time this year, but he now enters the running for the prestigious 2013 Bronko Nagurski Trophy, which is awarded annually to the nations top defensive player.
Plummer was added to the watch list by earning the FWAA(Football Writers Association of America)/Bronko Nagurski Player of the Week Award for his heroics against Memphis, which included two score saving INT’s, two pass breakups, five tackles and a 7.0 yard sack.
Just for perspective, past Bronko Nagurski trophy winners include Warren Sapp, Champ Bailey, Terrell Suggs, Ndamukong Suh, and Manti Te’o.
