The City of Orlando will be the newest home for Major League Soccer.
MLS commissioner Don Garber made the much-anticipated announcement Tuesday that secured Orlando City Soccer Club’s entrance in 2015, following the construction of Orlando’s $81 million exclusive soccer stadium.
The announcement was commemorated with a celebration of flags and balloons that included the Orlando City President Phil Rawlings and the owner of OCSC, Flavio Agusto Da Silva.
Orlando City secured the USL Pro Championship last season, which resulted in the attendance of 20,886 fans, an OCSC record. They also were host to the recent U.S. Woman’s National Team vs. Brazil on November 10th. It has been announced that the training for Orlando City’s USL PRO season will take place at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports.
