It was a tight race but UCF ended up on top of Orlando Business Journal’s first annual Orlando Brand Madness competition.
The competition started off on Sept. 15 with 64 of Central Florida’s well-known brands, including NASCAR, Walt Disney World and 4 Rivers Smokehouse. These brands boiled down to UCF and Fairwinds Credit Union.
UCF won Central Florida’s favorite brand with 61 percent of the vote. OBJ reported that 99,088 votes were cast during the duration of the competition.
“Just goes to show bigger isn’t always better and passion and support for your brand goes a long way,” OBJ said in its announcement.
