At the Toyota Owners 400, subtle eyes must have been on any and all Toyotas at the race this past weekend, just by looking at this weekend’s race name.

The intensity in April continues as the drivers sped their way around the Richmond International Speedway in Virginia in hopes of grabbing a win. Jimmie Johnson – proudly racing his Chevrolet – stole the show for the first part of the race, before he battled it out with Carl Edwards soon after.

Throughout the race, racers had some close encounters as many of them slid into almost scary proximity of each other on the track. Kevin Harvick held the lead during a couple of cautions before Kyle Busch took it after two other lead changes.

With 100 laps to go, a caution goes out as Dale Earnhardt Jr. spins off of the track and Kyle Busch takes his lead back from his brother Kurt Busch. It was a “calm” last 50 laps with no cautions, where Carl Edwards – in a Toyota – took the lead and won the race, with Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson following. Toyota definitely took over this weekend, graciously honoring the name of the race.
