The University of Central Florida Tailgate Concert Series, presented by FM 96.9 The Game and iHeartRadio, features Gin Blossoms as the headliner to prelude UCF Football’s first home game against South Carolina State.

The changes in tailgating follow a turn in the athletic program’s direction, including a first annual ‘UCFastival’ presented in April that now leads the spring game. To pair with the free live music, additional entertainment and activities will be held on IOA Plaza near the stadium.

VIP Passes are available through the UCF Ticket Office for fans looking for all-inclusive food and beverage packages as well as an exclusive area in view of the concert.

The Carl Black & Gold Cabana opens for its second season in the East stands through gametime; new stadium video boards, installed this month, debut for the home opener.

“The UCFastival at the Spring game was so well-received that we are bringing the experience back for every regular-season home game,” Danny White, UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics said in an announcement. “Our goal is to create the most unique, entertaining gameday experience in college football. We are confident our fans will enjoy this incredible concert series, along with all the other activities on campus on gamedays. We can’t wait to have the Gin Blossoms and Cowboy Mouth kick off the festivities.”

American rock band Gin Blossoms takes the stage at 5 p.m., just before kickoff at Bright House Networks Stadium at 7 p.m. Two weeks later, on September 17, Cowboy Mouth headlines the UCF vs. Maryland game at home, per UCF Athletics.
