The University of Central Florida has shown the University of South Florida the champions of the first War On I-4 Rivalry Series.
The UCF woman’s golf team claimed the American Athletic Conference Championships on Tuesday. The Knights earned seven back-nine birdies while neck-and-neck University of Houston earned seven bogies to take home the trophy.
The contest first began in September 2016, when UCF swept USF in volleyball to add the first three points on the board. A War On I-4 trophy was revealed by both universities in November ahead of the UCF vs USF football game in Tampa.

Although the Knights have claimed victory, there are still three teams that can close or widen the score. The men’s golf teams will have the AAC Championships April 23-25 and the women’s track team will compete in Houston May 12-14. The baseball team will play a three-game series at home from May 18-20.
