The NCAA announced that the University of Central Florida will host the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships in 2019 and 2021, as well as the NCAA Division I, II, and III Rowing Championships in 2021 and 2022.
“As Orlando’s Hometown Team, UCF is thrilled to be a part of bringing even more elite level NCAA championship action to the area,” said UCF Director of Athletics Danny White.
“Orlando has so much to offer the coaches, student-athlete, and fans participating in these great events. It’s a win for all involved. We’d like to thank the Central Florida Sports Commission for leading the charge on the bid process, as well as the City of Orlando and USTA for their continued partnership.”
UCF will partner with the Central Florida Sports Commission, the City of Orlando, and Orange County for the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships in 2019 and 2021.
The new home for UCF Tennis – the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona – will be the location of both events. The Knights and the Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Association will host the 2021 and 2022 Division I, II, and III Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, according to UCF.
UCF Athletics will host the 2017 Women’s Soccer College Cup at the new downtown stadium for Orlando City Soccer Club and the 2018 Men’s Gold NCAA Regional at Reunion Resort in Kissimmee in May 2018.
