Fun turned into fear late Saturday night after a report of a man armed with a rifle inside of the parking garages of Universal Orlando forced a lockdown of the theme park.
According to Orlando Police, the report came from a driver traveling on Interstate 4 around 8:40 p.m.
In response to the report, both parking garages were shut down while police officers and park security searched the area, OPD reports.
A witness in the area shared a video where someone can be heard announcing that ‘the parking lot is closed’ while directing guest away from the moving walkways which lead toward the garage.

According to the Orlando Police Department, the area is safe and normal operations have resumed.
