About 75,000 fans packed the infield at Daytona International Speedway for an exhilarating race that ended with AJ Allmendinger driving the Michael Shank Racing No. 60 Ford Riley Daytona Prototype car winning the 50th Anniversary of the Rolex 24 hour race with the Starworks Motorsports No. 8 Ford Riley only 5.2 seconds behind. Ford Riley cars dominated the podium with the Michael Shank Racing No. 6 Ford Riley finishing third only 49.4 seconds behind on the lead lap.

The Porsche GT3 took the top three spots in the GT class with the No. 44 Magnus Porsche 911 GT3 taking the win ahead of the No. 67 TRG Porsche 911 GT3 by 17 seconds with the No. 59 Brumos Racing Porsche 911 GT3 taking third place.
