The 2012 NBA Allstar weekend is being hosted in Orlando at the downtown Amway Arena. Beginning on Thursday, February 23rd, Orlando will be filled with celebrities, players, commentators and fans as the Allstar weekend gets underway.

The last time the Allstar game came to Orlando was in 1992 when the West dominated the East and Magic Johnson was named MVP.

Reports say that many downtown clubs will only be open to exclusive VIP guests and their parties, leaving them closed off to the public.

With the surge of people that will be coming into the Central Florida area, traffic is expected to be very heavy along the I-4 roadway and downtown area. Law enforcement has also been carefully planning security coverage for each event.
