The College Democrats and Republicans at UCF are coming together to host a town hall and debate on political issues directly affecting students.

The town hall and debate — which will be in the Live Oak Ballroom at Ferrell Commons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday — will open for students to ask questions during the first half of the event.

College Republicans Chairman Luke Strominger said the debate — which will take place in the second half of the event — will center around national issues impacting students such as gun control, free speech and enviromental matters.

The town hall questions will be moderated by Rachel Friant, chair of the Governmental Affairs and Policy Committee, and Zak Myers, SG Governmental Affairs coordinator.

The event is open to all students, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m.

“So let your voice be heard and get informed on the issues that impact our daily lives at UCF,” the Facebook event page states.
