UCF’s Pi Beta Phi sorority was placed on interim suspension Thursday following hazing and alcohol-related misconduct allegations reported to the university on Nov. 15.

The sorority is facing charges of alcohol-related misconduct, and hazing that could adversely affect the mental or physical health or dignity of an individual were reported to have taken place at the on-campus house, according to the suspension letter sent to the sorority on Thursday.

Pi Beta Phi’s hearing with the Office of Student Conduct is scheduled for Dec. 5 at 10 a.m., one hour before the Kappa Sigma fraternity’s hearing for drug-related misconduct and hazing allegations.
