With March Madness less than two months away, it is never too early to start pinpointing where the Knights will place for March Madness. Before that, they will travel to Kansas City with the hopes of bringing home their first-ever Big 12 Championship.

After their victory against then-ranked #11 Texas Tech, UCF sits at the 5th seed in the Big 12 standings with a 6-3 conference record and 17-4 overall.

On the hypothetical scenario where the tournament were to start today, the Knights would begin the tournament in the second round on March 11th. They would face the winner of game one, which in this case is the 12th seed, Cincinnati, against the 13th seed, Baylor.

If everything goes according to plan and UCF wins their first matchup, they move on to face the number four seed, Kansas. Currently sitting at 7-2 in the Big 12 and 17-5 overall.

The remainder of the tournament would be determined on-site as the winner of every matchup, following session five, moves on until there are only two teams left fighting for the Big 12 Championship and an automatic bid to the Big Dance.

In the first round, the eighth and ninth seeds would meet. Therefore, based on this bracket, the Knights would start their tournament journey by taking on the ninth-seeded Georgia Bulldogs.

The landscape around March Madness is constantly changing as the season plays on, and there is still a lot of basketball left to be played before the official and finalized brackets are released.
