Later today, the UCF Knights football team will battle the Villanova Wildcats at The Bounce House. The Knights have played the Wildcats once before back in 2006. At the end of that game, the Knights prevailed with a final score of 35-16. Both teams have a record of 2-0 in the 2023 football season.
Coming off of a heart-pounding football game last week, the Knights will have a new starting quarterback for todays game. John Rhys Plumlee suffered an injury late in the 4th quarter, when the Knights played Boise State. Coach Gus Malzahn later confirmed that Plumlee will miss todays game against the Wildcats. Malzahn also confirmed that redshirt sophomore, Timmy McClain, will take the coveted starting quarterback position for the Knights. Will McClain lead the Knights to victory against Villanova?
