Darius Johnson scored a personal best of 33 points, leading the UCF Knights to a 79-77 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday night. This win marked the conclusion of UCF’s inaugural regular season in the Big 12 Conference, finishing with a 16-14 overall record and a 7-11 record in the league. With this record, the Knights clinch the #12 seed in the BIG 12.

The Big 12 Tournament action kicks off on Tuesday morning in Kansas City with a doubleheader. The first matchup features the 12th-seeded UCF against the 13th-seeded Oklahoma State, followed by the 11th-seeded Cincinnati taking on the 14th-seeded West Virginia in the afternoon. The victors of these contests will advance to the second round on Wednesday, where they will face BYU and Kansas, respectively.
