Another familiar late-night stop for UCF students and Orlando residents is disappearing. Gringos Locos’ on-campus location at Knights Plaza, along with its other establishments, is closing its doors beginning August 2, according to Gringos workers who spoke to Knight News. 

The beloved local taco chain opened in 2009 as a late-night taco shop before becoming a regional staple across several locations, including at UCF and Downtown Orlando. Now, the chain might be permanently closing all locations at 3AM, according to the Bungalower and Orlando Hourly.

Company higher-ups visited the UCF location on Friday and told an employee that the business is closing while it navigates its finances, workers told Knight News.
