Cheer, Stroll and Tumble: ADPi Helps RMH
News — By Andrew Stein on March 3, 2010 at 12:39 amOn Tuesday night, March 2, Alpha Delta Pi hosted its annual philanthropy event, “Cheer, Stroll and Tumble,” to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. The doors opened at 7 p.m. and the event started at 8 p.m.
Fraternities, sororites and student organizations, like the dance group Rukus, all performed a variety of two-minute dances to woo the judges and emerge as this year’s winner. The judging panel was made up of two ADPi alumni, and two cheerleading/dance experts.
The event took place in the Venue (the old UCF arena), where hundreds of students were in attendance to cheer for their friends and support the cause. The Ronald McDonald House even had one of its families in attendance so students could see, firsthand, people who have benefit from this greast organization. Last year, the event raised more than $4,000.

where is tke and chi omega’s videos?
Where are the routines of Lambda chi, ZTA, and Alpha tau omega, 2 of the the top 3 arent even on there??
DU has this warped sense of reality that makes them think theyre doing a good job. greek park laughs at you. you arent even in a real fraternity, youre just a club with greek letters….ill see you guys at initiation.
DU running shit all year? You have ONE brother involved on campus in Kyle Schumacher and the other 120 don’t do a damn thing besides win sorority competitions. I hardly think that means they are running anything. I hope their members can put these competitions on their resumes in place of their god awful GPA’s otherwise life after college will be a bit grim.
Start grooming better members because Schu will be gone next year and your reputation will drop back to nothingness.
Where is Zeta Tau Alpha’s routine?
Du has been running shit all year. All the other frats are droppin off. They got money cuz they got numbers cuz they are good, why would so many people join a frat if they weren’t good and they lack an on campus house which makes rush harder? Good job DU, sounds like the other guys are jealous
alpha xi did an illegal stunt..you’re not supposed to do heart over head in stunts. ie: no backtuck baskets and no tucks in pyramids (which they did) that was stated in the pamphlet that was handed out to the sororities & fraternities. i’m pretty sure that’s what got them because other than that one technicality, they sure did do an amazing job

JW how tridelt wins 2nd place dance when they drop 2 of their stunts and practically throw a girl onto the floor (thank god she was ok). But anyways everyone did do a great job and congrats to DU for winning overall!
We changed the name because we wanted other organizations involved. And everyone needs to stop fighting over who wins on here. I think that the 1st place overall SHOULD go to the frat/sorority that raises the most money because afterall, isnt that why we do the philanthropy in the first place? Although we are there to have a good time, the main reason we do these competitions is to raise money for a good cause.
i think they should rename it ‘Attendance, BBQ, Red Brick Pizza, T-shirt Sales, and Pennys Wars for Charity’..considering the cheering part had little to do with anything thing that determined a winner. this is why people dont like sorority philanthropies…bc whoever wins the ‘competition’ loses because some other fraternity dropped $1,000 on t-shirts. if the cheering part went 1. SX 2. ATO 3. LXA then thats how you should determine a winner. DU didnt even place in the cheer/dance…how do they possibly win a CHEERING competition???

umm…lets be honest. DU was creative and HILARIOUS, and they DID do a cheer AND a dance. they are obviously really close to ADPi and deserved the overall win. good job guys =) and they were the only performance i saw that wasnt all NEW brothers. anyone who is hating didnt try hard enough and probably didnt even participate.

She just said DU won the dance and sigma chi was first runner up. And they won attendance, bbq, t-shirts, and redbrick pizza. So does that mean they won because they won everything. because the other person said its because they paid for it..?
Sigma Chi won 1st place dance. One of the only ones to actually do a cheer, the rest did little dances, its a cheer competition which is different from a dance competition. Who cares about overall, its about the cheer.

wierd…. maybe it has something to do with the fact that a DU dropped a $200 check right after their dance… ya people saw. no doubt they had a sick dance and alot of participation. there is no way they won penny wars when ato drops over twenty dollars at the cometition in straight pennies. noone wants to compete against them bc they buy all the competitions. and its a fact.KOTC… PLEASE!!!
200+? haha….DU has about 100 guys. Where did the 200 come from? It may just seem like 200 because the DU Army comes out to everything

DU isn’t the biggest fraternity. Check your facts. And the last HC King was a Beta who pretty much ran campus, not what I’d call a douche bag. Maybe they buy the wins, maybe they don’t. I don’t really know enough about how that system works to say. But every time I come on here, there is news about DU winning something and people talking about them. Even if you people are talking sh*t about them, they win. Time to re-evaluate your organizations.

Sigma Chi shouldn’t of won first place, Lambda Chi should’ve had that no doubt! And DU is the realest fraternity of them all! Haters keep Hatin’ not every fraternity can have the Homecoming King, IFC President, MVP, KOTC, and Cheers for Charity

Why did they change the name from “Cheers For Charity”? That was much better….
