The Kappa Sigma Fraternity Supreme Executive Committee withdrew the charter of the Lambda-Epsilon Chapter on May 8, 2010 at its Spring meeting in Dulles , Virginia. The action was taken as a result of the Chapter’s violation of sanctions previously placed against the Chapter that required the Chapter to be alcohol free. In particular, the Chapter failed to take action against individuals who participated in activities that violated these sanctions and the Code of Conduct.
The Chapter has 30 days to appeal should it so desire. The Kappa Sigma Fraternity has every intention of returning to the University of Central Florida Campus after an absence of 2-3 years should an appeal not be submitted by the Chapter or if such an appeal was unsuccessful. We will begin negotiating the terms of our plans to recolonize with the University of Central Florida officials immediately.
Sincerely, Mitchell B. Wilson-Executive Director
