University of Central Florida Men’s Basketball center Tacko Fall has earned more rebounds for the Knights in a single season than any other player in its history in Division I.

Tacko Fall earned 269 rebounds Wednesday night and his 11th double-double of the season. Fall passed Ken Leeks, who had 268 rebounds in the 1990-91 season.

In the victory against Temple, the Knights came back from an eleven point deficit in the second half to pull ahead by one point with seconds to go in the fourth.

B.J. Taylor struck a three followed by back-to-back threes from Matt Williams as well as a connector from inside the arc to bring UCF back in the game.

A nail-biter finish took place in the fourth quarter where UCF led by a mere point. Taylor would be fouled in Temple’s rush to gain a last second possession and the score would be brought to 71-69.

The Knights basketball team has never seen a winning conference record in the American – finishing at 6-12 in its best performance – until now. Dubbed ‘The Dawkins Effect,’ UCF has well surpassed that milestone thanks to leadership from newly hired head coach Johnny Dawkins with a 9-7 conference record. There are two more games with the potential to allow 10 wins in AAC Basketball for UCF.
