University of Central Florida Baseball pitcher Robby Howell has been named the 13th Division I All-American in UCF Baseball program history.

Howell has helped lead the Knights to an American Athletic Conference Championship, the team’s first 40-win season, and UCF’s first NCAA Regional appearance since 2012.

As the 2017 American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, Howell earned a 10-0 record for UCF with a 3.28 ERA as one of only five out of 28 All-Americans yet to lose a game, according to UCF Athletics. Ninety strikeouts in 96.0 innings pitched add to Howell’s season record.

Howell became the seventh UCF pitcher to earn All-America honors, ranking 6th in the nation with 10 wins and as sixth all-time in UCF history for victories in a season.
