Knight News obtained surveillance footage from the incident that occurred at the Retreat involving Deidra Reid and Reginald Lane.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference today at 11:00 a.m. Sheriff Jerry Demmings spoke on the alleged excessive force that was used.
“The clips will show a 9-year-old boy ignoring a non-resident trying to gain access to the clubhouse. The next clip shows the non-resident, Deidra Reid, bullying the child for not letting her into the complex.” said Demings.
Reid and Lane along with their attorney, Natalie Jackson, and the National Action Network held a press conference at 2:00 p.m.
Demings also said that the allegation of excessive force is an active internal and criminal investigation at this point. Derek Lowe attended both, check back for updates on the press conferences.
