RJ Harvey, a fan favorite to many UCF fans, had an amazing rookie year playing for the Denver Broncos. Harvey was drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Broncos in round 2 with pick number 60. 

RJ Harvey played in all 17 games for the Broncos this season. Harvey’s stats for the regular season in his rookie year are as follows:

Throughout his rookie season, RJ Harvey was nominated six times for the NFL Rookie of the Week Award. Of those six times, Harvey would win once for his week 8 performance against the Cowboys. In this game, he put up 7 carries for 46 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns, along with one reception for 5 yards and a receiving touchdown. 

Harvey and the Broncos cruised to a 14-3 record, earning the team the #1 seed in the playoffs and a first-round bye. The Broncos would then go on to play the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, where they emerged victorious in a thrilling 33-30 overtime game. In this game, RJ Harvey would put up 6 carries for 20 yards and 5 receptions for 46 yards. 

The Broncos would then face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game for a spot in the Super Bowl. In this game, the visiting Patriots came out on top. RJ Harvey would record 13 carries for 37 yards and 4 receptions for 22 yards. 

Despite the tough loss in the AFC Championship Game, RJ Harvey had a great rookie season that contributed significantly to the Denver Broncos’ success. RJ Harvey will continue to charge on and reach for the stars, making all UCF football fans proud.
