E-mails between SGA and KnightNews.com on this subject:
Hey Matt,
Thanks for your response. We are obliged to ask you for the name and contact information of the individual(s) with whom you spoke from the Campus Crusade, so we can contact them and verify the organization agrees the issue has been resolved and they were treated fairly and equally with other organizations on campus.
As of now, the information relayed in our story is correct. It is based on e-mail correspondence with Spencer DeWald and Christa Coffee. Additionally, once DeWald sent us additional correspondence clarifying the situation, we updated the story, just as we will be happy to do with the new information you are providing us now — as this is our obligation as news source. If you can point out any factual inaccuracies in the story, please let us know. But we have thoroughly looked it over, and everything seems correct.
Allow me to restate in more detail the questions we wanted answered by SGA:
1. Who is the person the RSO talked with about this event, when this alleged threat would have been made?
2. Is SGA denying a threat was made?
3. How did this miscommunication happen? Who miscommunicated and how?
4. Please send us a copy of the food regulation policy that caused this.
5. Was it related to food safety, or contract issues with food vendors and rights to distribute.
We want to let others know what they can expect, and should do, in order to avoid any “miscommunications” of their own with SGA in the future.
Thanks,
Andrew Stein

Dear Mr. Stein and Mr. Jett,
The Student Government Association has investigated your query thoroughly. In response to the central inquiry of your query, the reports relayed in your article are not correct.
Student Government has received correspondence from the organization and both parties are satisfied that the issue resulted from a miscommunication between the Student Union and the organization.
Thank you for your interest in the University of Central Florida Student Government Association.
Sincerely,
Matthew J. Smith
